DAY 2
Meet your lecturer guide at the pier/hotel. Our first destination in the morning will be the largest historical Jewish district of Istanbul, Balat, to see the almost six hundred year old Ahrida Synagogue. Then we will proceed to the other side of the Golden Horn to visit the Museum of Turkish Jews, a standing witness of amity between Turks and Jews for seven hundred years. Enjoy the rest of the day by strolling through the lively streets of the unique Ottoman Grand Covered Bazaar.
Meet and greet at the pier/airport (escorted to the hotel by your private guide and start the tour the next morning). Enjoy a full-day sightseeing tour of old Constantinople, beginning with the Hippodrome, the ancient Roman arena of chariot races and sport activities, and followed by the glorious Sultan Ahmet's Blue Mosque. Our next stop is the impressive Hagia Sophia, the great church of Holy Wisdom. Finally visit the Topkapi palace and its splendid Imperial Treasury. Return to the pier/hotel.
